17 – 18 – 19 JUNE 2022
From Friday to Sunday the 2nd edition of LOST Music Festival (Labyrinth Original Sound Track), in the largest labyrinth in the world created by Franco Maria Ricci, publisher, graphic artist and refined collector.
37 artists from 11 countries around the world, new revelations of Italian musical research will perform at the foot of the majestic Pyramid in the center of the Masone Labyrinth, inaugurated in 2015 in Fontanellato (Parma).
It is a seven-hectare park made up of over 200 thousand bamboo plants, in which light installations and digital experiments create a journey across musical and artistic boundaries in which the listener is invited to get lost in Labyrinth, completely dancing to the notes of its soundtrack.
LOST is promoted by an Art Foundation and offers a story of 34 hours of contemporary music in 36 appointments including DJ sets, live, sound installations, capable of an evocative experience between research and art such as surprise and get lost, just like in a labyrinth.
Among the many artists present, the Italian debut of the French Oklou and the South African Desire Marea, the world premiere of the Spanish Marina Herlop, the Italian premiere of Eartheater feat. Leya from the USA and many more!
In the second edition, the festival involves the spaces of the Museum inside the structure for the first time and the performances are spread between different areas of the labyrinth with site-specific creations and 3 stages:
– Mainstage for live performances in the main courtyard in the center of the maze and in the shadow of the great Pyramid;
– Bamboo stage dedicated to DJ sets in the courtyard at the foot of the art collection, with an extraordinary installation made to measure by Studio Anelo 1997 in box-shaped tubes and artificially oxidized iron sheets;
– Lost garden, chillout area for relaxation and listening inside the maze and Radio Raheem broadcasting station, surrounded by a real forest of large green organ pipes.
Among the novelties, an internal food area (also the infopoint seat of the festival) and a camping area equipped with all basic services (reception, showers, services, spots for cell phone recharging), created in respect of the natural biotope that surrounds the structure with particular attention to sustainability, which has always been one of the salient values of the festival as evidenced by the partnership with Legambiente and the support of the municipality of Fontanellato.
The campsite, next to the labyrinth, can be reached on foot from the boxes and near the green oasis behind the maze, where there are bicycles available for campers.
To support the program, a schedule of Extra starting from the soundwalk of Enrico Malatesta and Glauco Salvo of MU (MU – soundwalk and sound intervention), for an unusual 2-hour tour in the spaces of the Oasis.
Free visits to the Labyrinth art collection will be available on Saturday and Sunday at 4:00 pm and 7:00 pm, including the temporary exhibition DALL’ALTO, Aeropainting futurist (curated by Massimo Duranti), and the sound installation Drummophone, created for Lost 2022 by Riccardo La Foresta, with 10 resonant drums in the spaces of the Sala delle Colonne.
On Sunday 19 June the site-specific sound installation Drone Divinorum by Edoardo Caimi (aka Tybet) will be presented inside the Labirinto, with the addition of live performance components through DIY tools and guitar feedback.
