Dreamland Music Festival has finally brought us back to the heart of the Alps.
Two days of music and emotions for the festival based in Lanzada (SO) that finally embraced thousands of ravers after two years of forced postponement due to Coronavirus. From new talents to international legends, passing through the trending artists in the current charts. A super line up, mainly dance/electronic, with an urban/rap touch, was certainly one of the strengths of this 2022 edition.
Another important evolution was the stage with curve ledwalls , a big upgrade from the latest edition.
To be mentioned: great hospitality of the hotels like Hotel Genzianella and Tremoggia and the teamwork of the local team in the food area.

Day 1

Friday 9 September the gates opened after two years. PartyTapp powered NFC bracelet check and we’re ready to start our dream!
The first set of the Dreamland Music Festival Day 1 was the young talented duo JOSA, among the two winners of the contest launched by the festival and held last July with Youbeat’s founder Matteo Villa among the judges, with Matteo Epis from Discoradio and Bouncemakers. A nice warm up, intense, between melodic techno and tech house. After a short performance of Verso, the evening quickly evolved first with the Discoradio Party, then “Shakerando” with Rhove and with a long awaited (yet pretty lukewarm) performance by Tony Effe.

Lost Identities came back to Dreamland stage with one of the best sets of the weekend.  Between dubstep and some surprises, the duo with a hybrid dj set comprising keyboards and pads ignited the crowd that was unleashed in the front rows. Immediately following Raven & Kreyn and then Tujamo bringing some old EDM vibes. The last artist of Day 1, Nicky Romero, gave us an intense set, different from what we expected, a mix of the successes of his long career and what is most representative of him now, even on the record side.

The Bouncemakers and Dreamland environment

A special mention must certainly be made to explain the environment that the Dreamland Team has created, and how much the Bouncemakers, resident djs and co-founders of the festival with Stefano Faldrini, also represent in their performances what is the underlying strength of Dreamland.

A strength that comes from the support of the whole area, from the support of many people who have recognized the strength “of the dream”, “the dream” of people driven by our own passion for dance/electronic music, and now also the pride of seeing that has taken shape and what has been achieved. All this was expressed first for Bouncemakers set in Day 1, then at the end of the festival, with the whole team on stage and fireworks to close the event.

Day 2

The other local in lineup, Bitcode, opens Day 2. This is followed by the other winner of the contest Ado Woodz, with a performance in which he showed all his attitudes. Discoradio, as partner of the event, kicks off the party for the second consecutive day. Here is the time to turn on the track also for the Swiss Mister Alive. The situation gets really “caliente” when Hugel goes up on stage with his sound, a genre that is going really hard all over the world. It was impossible to stay still on the notes of hits like Morenita, Aguila and Tamo Loco.

Another highly anticipated moment was the first ever date in Italy for the Norwegian duo KREAM. The Slettebakken brothers, whose interview you will be available soon, blew up the more than 3000 people with the bass lines that characterize their productions. An unforgettable first time with the premiere of their new single “Chemistry” on Big Beat with IDEMI and Camden Cox.

th

It is appropriate to say that the Hype reached very high levels when the author of the summer hit “Ferrari” takes the stage. Yes, it’s James Hype bitch! A formidable set worthy of the fame that has been built over the years, with the use of 4 CDJs in a masterly way and the drop of the fresh Lazza Remix of “Ferrari”, #1 Spotify Top 50 Italy that day. We also got the opportunity to chat with James, another interview that will be available soon.

To close the evening, after a so desired Psy-Trance earthquake by Vini Vici, then it has been time for the #FreakShow by Timmy Trumpet.  What can we say? A performance rather than a DJ set with vodka, flames, dance and so much more. In addition to its main feature, the use of the trumpet, he showed all his experience with a special Italian selection playing Blanco, Alba Chiara by Vasco Rossi and finally an extract of Turandot, SC 91 / Act III – “Nessun Dorma!”.
