Kappa FuturFestival 13th edition counts 125k attendees from 152 countries

6 stages, over 130 artists, 36 hours of music for a crowd of 125,000 attendees from all over the world (152 nations represented): Turin once again confirms itself as a global capital of electronic music.

The XIII edition of Kappa FuturFestival comes to a close with incredible success. From 3 to 5 July, it once again transformed Parco Dora into the beating heart of the international electronic scene. The Festival delivered an immersive experience celebrating the many facets of contemporary electronic music, further cementing Kappa FuturFestival’s role among the most prestigious events on the global circuit.

The 2026 edition presented one of the richest and most ambitious programmes ever, bringing together some of the most influential figures on the international scene alongside emerging talents redefining the language of contemporary club culture. From major headliners such as Charlotte de Witte, Peggy Gou,  Four Tet, Skrillex, Solomun, Amelie Lens, Sebastian Ingrosso, Disclosure, Armin van Buuren, Diplo, Enrico Sangiuliano, Jamie Jones, Joseph Capriati, Seth Troxler, Richie Hawtin, Sven Väth and Maceo Plex, to live shows, exclusive back-to-backs and new generations of artists, the line-up confirmed the Festival’s ability to tell the evolution of electronic culture through an authoritative, innovative and cross-genre musical offering.

Futur looks to the world: next stop in Mexico for the first overseas edition
The 2026 edition also marked a historic milestone in the Festival’s growth journey. This autumn will see the debut of FuturFestival, the project’s first international edition, taking place on 13 and 14 November 2026 at Fundidora Park in Monterrey, Mexico. A significant step that takes the format born in Turin beyond national borders, exporting to Latin America a cultural vision built over more than ten years of history and confirming the brand’s increasingly global dimension.

Turin more and more in the spotlight
Kappa FuturFestival confirms itself as one of the city of Turin’s main cultural, tourist and economic drivers. The event generates a tangible impact on the territory, with an estimated economic spillover of around 50 million euros, thanks to the thousands of visitors who each year choose the Piedmont capital to experience the Festival.

Hotels, accommodation facilities, restaurants, retail and services have benefited from the arrival of an international audience that, once again, has helped promote Turin as a cultural and tourist destination of global importance. The bond with the city is one of the Festival’s distinctive elements: over the years it has enhanced a symbolic site of urban regeneration such as Parco Dora, turning it into a globally recognised stage.

With the close of the XIII edition, another successful chapter ends for Kappa FuturFestival, which continues to grow year after year, strengthening its role as an international ambassador for electronic culture and the city of Turin. Attention is already on the next milestones: the debut of FuturFestival in Mexico and the return to Turin in 2027, from 2 to 4 July.

The debut of Taverna Futurista
Among the main new features of the XIII edition was also Taverna Futurista, the new fine-dining project that expanded the Kappa FuturFestival experience, creating an unprecedented dialogue between haute cuisine, artistic research and electronic music. Conceived as a space in constant evolution, Taverna Futurista offered a journey through different interpretations of contemporary Italian cuisine, transforming conviviality into an immersive experience.

The project featured some of the most authoritative interpreters of Italian cuisine: Enrico Crippa, Francesco Brutto, Davide Di Fabio, Tiziana Francoforte and Dennis Panzeri, chefs recognised by the most important national and international gastronomic guides, who brought distinct culinary languages to the Festival, further enriching its cultural offering. With this new proposal, Kappa FuturFestival confirms its vocation for innovation, extending its research into the world of excellence in food and wine.

Art and experimentation: the Festival as a cultural space

This year too, Kappa FuturFestival strengthened its dialogue with contemporary art, turning Parco Dora into a meeting point for music, installations and visual experimentation. The Kosmo Stage hosted the artistic project dedicated to crossovers between visual arts and performance, featuring the monumental light installation Dance First Think Later by Marinella Senatore, while the programme was enriched by the performance of Cory Arcangel, the visuals by French artist Roman Lefebvre, the photographic project Razza Umana by Oliviero Toscani and the performative collection U 4 FUTUR by young designer Cesco Pelosi. A journey that confirms the desire to go beyond music, positioning the Festival as a multidisciplinary cultural platform and a laboratory for contemporary languages.

REPLY AI MUSIC CONTEST
During Saturday, Reply, a company specialised in the design and implementation of innovative solutions based on new communication channels and digital media, announced the winner of the second edition of the Reply AI Music Contest, created in collaboration with Kappa FuturFestival and aimed at artists and creatives from all over the world. The five finalists – Violeta Valcheva, POLARIS, Ciauru, Yichu Li and PARAFRAME & Avis Vox – performed live on the Nova Stage, bringing different approaches to integrating artificial intelligence into musical performance. At the end of the performances, the international jury – made up of Agoria, Max Cooper, Fleur Shore, Tini Gessler, Ali Demirel, Albi Scotti, Oliver Bohl and Sarah Grimaldi – proclaimed the winner Ciauru, aka Simone Privitera, an Italian DJ and producer who integrates AI tools within a musical practice rooted in the contemporary electronic scene. His project combines music production, AI-generated visuals and heterogeneous cultural influences, transforming the live set into a multisensory experience.
