The electronic music scene is about to go bananas“: this is the motto of Ape Rave Club following the announcement of its debut at Tomorrowland. For the first time in the history of a festival, a NFT artist will play on the mainstage, giving rise to an experience that blends digital and physical world never seen before. Ape Rave Club will perform on July 24 2022, during the second weekend of “Reflection of Love”, the long-awaited edition of Tomorrowland which, due to the pandemic, has been postponed for two consecutive years.

Born on the blockchain, Ape Rave Club is an emerging digital content creator that derives from the NFT Bored Ape Yacht Club collection. The artist’s intent is to release original crypto-native music via NFT platforms and allow fans to participate in the creative process. They will be able to take care of the artistic direction and share ownership rights in the Ape Rave Club with a large community of users. The music produced will then also be released on the main music streaming platforms.

It isn’t the first time that Tomorrowland uses and experiments the possibilities offered by the best existing technologies to create virtual experiences, so as to allow the viewer to try new worlds and realities. In fact, to cope with the restrictions caused by the pandemic, an interactive edition of the Belgian festival was held in 2020, called “Tomorrowland around the world“.
For two days all the most important artists of the electronic music scene played virtually, making people from all over the world, who were forced to stay at home, dance and entertain. By combining the universal language of music and blockchain technology, it’s possible to create unforgettable experiences and infinite ways to connect with fans at any time.
