From August 11 to 15, 2026, Budapest will once again host the Sziget Festival, one of the most iconic events of the European summer.
In recent years, the Hungarian festival has continued to evolve, shifting from being an event dominated mainly by rock and pop to a far more cross-genre celebration, able to give space to every kind of music. The 2026 edition seems to perfectly represent this transformation: alongside the big Main Stage names such as Twenty One Pilots, Florence + The Machine, Bring Me The Horizon, Lewis Capaldi, Zara Larsson, Jorja Smith and Skepta, we find an electronic offering stronger than ever, led by a Delta District that has now become a true destination for club culture lovers—and by the final day’s headliner: Skrillex.
What’s new in 2026: Day 0 and the Budapest Park stage
One of this year’s biggest new additions is the return of Day 0, an extra day that will officially kick off the festival ahead of the main program. Opening the celebrations will be Faithless, one of the most influential acts in the history of electronic music.For many festivals, the “day zero” is simply a preview. For Sziget 2026, instead, it looks like a true event within the event. The choice of Faithless is particularly meaningful: we’re talking about a project that helped define the dance sound of the ’90s and 2000s with timeless classics like Insomnia, God Is A DJ and We Come 1. An opening that immediately sends a clear message: this year, electronic music will be front and center.
Among the most interesting new features of the 2026 edition is also the Budapest Park Stage. One distinctive trait of this stage is its strong local identity: the lineup is dedicated exclusively to Hungarian artists. A choice that allows Sziget to spotlight the national music scene, offering international visitors the chance to discover some of the most exciting names in the country’s landscape.
Skrillex returns to the spotlight
If the Delta District will be the clubbers’ kingdom, the Main Stage will still have an absolute protagonist for the electronic crowd: Skrillex.
In recent years, Skrillex has once again shown why his name remains one of the most influential across the entire dance industry. After revolutionizing the dubstep and EDM landscape over the years, Skrillex has managed to continuously reinvent himself, collaborating with artists from completely different worlds and releasing projects that have redefined his sound.
His presence at Sziget is one of the most anticipated moments of the entire edition. His modern sets are a journey through bass music, UK garage, house, techno, trap and global sounds, with a rare ability to unite both mainstream audiences and those more rooted in electronic culture. He’s not just a headliner: he’s one of those artists who can single-handedly change the tone of a festival.
In an edition where the Delta District will host much of the festival’s clubbing offer, Skrillex represents the perfect bridge between the Main Stage and electronic culture. He’s the artist who can draw the wider public with iconic tracks like Bangarang, Scary Monsters and Nice Sprites or First of the year, while also winning over club and specialist festival regulars thanks to a constant sonic exploration that has never stopped evolving.
The Delta District is increasingly the electronic heart of Sziget

After debuting last year, the area dedicated to the festival’s nightlife returns with a lineup that almost completely abandons the more traditional EDM approach in favor of the sounds currently dominating European clubs and festivals. The result is probably the most credible and complete Delta District seen so far on the Island of Freedom.
Among the most anticipated names stands out Peggy Gou, now one of the most recognizable figures in the global electronic scene. Alongside her we find Sara Landry, a leading force behind the hard techno boom of recent years, and a legend like Richie Hawtin, who continues to be a benchmark for anyone talking about techno.
There’s also major attention on Argy, one of the strongest names in today’s melodic house and techno scene, and Indira Paganotto, known for blending techno, psy and hypnotic sounds in sets that are increasingly in demand at the world’s top festivals.
Delta District 2026 also nods to house lovers, with a lineup that mixes big names and new promises. Dom Dolla remains one of the most in-demand artists right now thanks to a winning formula of irresistible grooves and productions that work both in clubs and on big stages. Joining him will be Vintage Culture, now a major player in the global electronic scene, Rossi., among the references of contemporary house, and the rising talent Jamback, increasingly on the radar of genre fans.
There’s also a solid representation of the bass music scene. Among the most anticipated moments is the b2b between Flux Pavilion and Jessica Audiffred, bringing together a dubstep legend and one of the most exciting artists of the new generation. Space also for Hamdi b2b Lou Nour, a combo promising UK bass sounds, while Zomboy will bring all the power that has made him one of the most beloved names among fans for years.
But the Delta District doesn’t stop at the big headliners. The lineup also includes artists like Dixon, Joris Voorn, ANNA, Pan-Pot, KiNK, Boys Noize, WhoMadeWho, Sub Focus, Dimension, Trym, Anfisa Letyago, Funk Tribu, Charlie Sparks, Yousuke Yukimatsu and many more, offering a journey through virtually every shade of contemporary electronic music: from techno to house, from drum & bass to bass music, all the way to more experimental crossovers.
All of it is spread across the three hubs of the festival’s electronic district: the evocative Yettel Colosseum, the BOLT Night Stage and The Club, three spaces with different identities that let you experience completely different vibes without ever leaving the beating heart of Sziget’s night.
Not only electronic: all the other stages at Sziget
Of course, Sziget is much more than just a dance festival. Beyond the Main Stage, which remains the key reference point for international headliners, we shouldn’t forget the Revolut Stage, which confirms itself as Sziget’s second great home for live music. In 2026 it will once again host some of the most interesting artists outside the Main Stage, including the legendary Underworld, Dijon, Ashnikko, Chet Faker, Nia Archives, BUNT., Soulwax, 2manydjs and the new project TOMORA, one of the most intriguing acts of the entire festival, born from the meeting of Tom Rowlands of The Chemical Brothers and singer-songwriter Aurora. A stage that continues to stand out for its variety, blending live electronic music, indie, alternative and more experimental sounds, often delivering some of the most surprising concerts of the whole event.
For those who love discovering new talent, there are other stages such as The Buzz, long dedicated to emerging artists and fast-rising names, or the dropYard, the beating heart of Sziget’s urban culture.
But Sziget doesn’t live on concerts alone. Stages like Le Grand Theatre and Magic Mirror perfectly represent the event’s multidisciplinary soul. The former brings theatre shows, circus performances and international artistic productions to the island, while the latter is now a true Sziget institution, with programming dedicated to inclusion, diversity and the celebration of LGBTQ+ culture.
And of course, in 2026 the Lightstage could not be missing, curated by Alternative Events, an Italian organization that for years has been committed to showcasing new European music. The stage will offer a platform for emerging international artists, with particular attention to new independent scenes and Italian talents selected through the New Sounds of Italy project. A meeting point between music discovery and a more relaxed dimension of the festival, immersed in the evocative light installations that characterize the area.
It’s exactly this variety that makes Sziget a truly unique festival: within the same day you can go from a techno set in the Delta District to an indie concert at the Revolut Stage, from a new discovery at The Buzz to a theatre show or an artistic performance—living an experience that goes far beyond the traditional concept of a music festival
