Giovane dj e producer australiana dai capelli di mille colori, nei suoi set sprizza sorridente energia da tutti i pori, senza mai dimenticarsi di dedicare una buona parte del suo tempo libero ai suoi fan, tra autografi e foto ricordo. Hai appena suonato al Dreamland Music Festival. Com’è andata invece la tua estate?
É stata pazzesca! Sono venuta in Europa tre volte in tre periodi diversi per i miei show, il che è stato magnifico. Ogni tanto tra gli show tornavo anche a casa in Australia, ero molto contenta! È stato fantastico suonare in Italia, in Croazia, Grecia, Svezia e in Germania. Ho lavorato duramente ed è andata alla grande, e certamente sono molto felice di ritornare in Italia.

Hai collaborato con il dj e produttore italiano MorganJ, per il brano “Agony”. Come vi è venuta quest’idea? Ci sarà un seguito?
Ci siamo incontrati un po’ di tempo fa in un club, siamo andati subito d’accordo e siamo diventati amici! Abbiamo scattato un po’ di foto e iniziato a parlare su internet. Mi ha mandato l’idea e ce la siamo rimandata a vicenda un po’ di volte, con giustamente man mano diversi miglioramenti.
Quando collabori con qualcuno che è dall’altra parte del mondo, devi farlo ovviamente su internet. Ma MorganJ è stato fantastico, è un ragazzo molto intraprendente ed è facile collaborare con lui. Mi piace molto interagire e lavorare con lui, quindi per quanto riguarda un follow-up insieme, perché no?

Sappiamo che sei molto incentrata sul rimanere in forma e sul mangiare sano, giusto? Infatti hai anche un profilo Instagram nel quale mostri questo tuo stile di vita vegano. Dicci il tuo punto di vista!
Ho voluto creare un mio 2° account @our.soul.purpose, perché volevo pubblicare più cose riguardo l’alimentazione sana, il veganismo e il benessere. Ma sulla mia pagina @djtigerlily non potevo farlo, perché chi mi segue vorrebbe soltanto sentir parlare di musica, feste, festival e viaggi di @djtigerlily. Quindi ho deciso di creare un’altra pagina, nella quale io possa parlare liberamente e apertamente delle cose che più mi appassionano. È meraviglioso, mi piace davvero un sacco creare i contenuti per quella pagina, spingere i miei followers a dare di più e ad affrontare le sfide!
Sono davvero contenta di ciò che ho fatto finora, il profilo tra l’altro sta crescendo molto rapidamente, e la cosa mi fa molto piacere. Fa ancora più piacere vedere che la gente apprezza ciò che pubblico.

La tua ultima traccia “Kick Boom” è uscita un anno fa. Cosa ci puoi dire invece delle tue prossime release?
Ho avuto dei problemi con la mia etichetta discografica, ma adesso è tutto sistemato e la cosa mi fa sentire benissimo! Ho rilasciato un paio di settimane fa un remix per Cheap Codes, e ti dirò che stasera ho suonato due nuove canzoni inedite, è stato fantastico! Dovrebbero uscire entrambe molto presto, spero nei prossimi due mesi!

Dreamland Music Festival: interview with the console’s blue fairy Tigerlily
Dara Kristen Hayes, better known as Tigerlily, is back to our country again. The young Australian dj and producer with colorful hairstyles, during her sets, bounces off the walls, without forgetting to dedicate a fair amount of her free time to her fans, with autographs and pics. If you open her personal web page, the first definition we find is “DJ, Producer and Wellness enthusiast”. And that’s what we’ll talk about in this interview, after her set at Dreamland Music Festival in Lanzada (Italy).

You just played at Dreamland Music Festival. How has your summer gone so far, instead?
It’s been really amazing! I’ve come to Europe three times during three different periods of time to do some shows, which has been wonderful. I also spent a little bit of time back home in Australia, in between my European shows, which has been really great! But it’s been fantastic playing in Italy, in Croatia, in Greece, in Sweden and in Germany. I worked really hard and it’s been really awesome, and I’m very happy to be back here in Italy.
- You collaborated with the Italian dj and producer MorganJ, for your track “Agony”. How did you come up with this idea? Will there be a follow-up?
I suppose we met a while ago at a club, we kinda just hit it off and became friends! We took a photo and started talking on the internet. And then he sent me the idea, and we both just sent it back and forth, I suppose.
When you’re collaborating with someone on another side of the world, you have to do it via the internet, of course. But MorganJ has been amazing, and he’s so proactive and easy to work with, I really enjoy talking to him and working with him, so regarding a good follow-up together, why not?
- We know that you’very focused on being fit and healthy eating, right? Therefore you’ve got an Instagram account where you display your vegan lifestyle. Tell us your point of view!
I wanted to create my 2nd account @our.soul.purpose, because I really wanted to post more about healthy eating, veganism and wellness. But on my @djtigerlily page, I couldn’t really do that because people want to just hear about music, partying, festivals and travelling on @djtigerlily. So I decided to create another page where I can talk openly and freely about the things I’m passionate about. It’s been really awesome, I really enjoy making contents for that page, and challenging people on that page. I’m really glad I did it, and it’s growing pretty rapidly, which is nice. So it’s good to see that people are enjoying what I’m putting out.
- Your last release “Kick Boom” came out one year ago. What can you tell us about your next releases?
I had some problems on my record label, but i got all clear now, which is very exciting. Two weeks ago I released a remix for Cheap Codes, and actually tonight I played two new unreleased songs, fantastic! They should be out really soon, within the next couple of months I hope!
