Top Djs & Producers 2026 mixing three charts: David Guetta is the winner!

youBEAT /
Top Djs & Producers 2026 - 3 Charts Mix by YouBeat

Three rankings, three different methodologies and one undisputed leader: David Guetta. YouBeat compares DJ Mag’s Top 100 DJs, 1001Tracklists’ Top 101 Producers and the Climax 100 DJs 2026, exploring Italian artists’ results, major surprises and the differences between popularity, DJ support and digital performance. The year 2026 offers three different perspectives on the international electronic music scene with the publication of DJ Mag’s Top 100 DJs, 1001Tracklists’ Top 101 Producers and the Climax 100 DJs.

The three rankings feature many of the same artists but rely on substantially different criteria. DJ Mag measures audience preferences through an international public vote; 1001Tracklists analyses the support that music productions receive in DJ sets; and Climax combines various digital performance indicators through an algorithm.

The most striking result is David Guetta’s dominance, ranking No. 1 in all three charts. Behind the French producer, however, significant differences emerge, highlighting just how complex it is to define success in electronic music.

To explore the differences between the three charts, YouBeat has developed a comparison based on the positions achieved by each artist.

The method is straightforward: only artists appearing in all three rankings are considered, and the arithmetic mean of their three positions is calculated, giving equal weight to each chart.

The formula is: Average = (DJ Mag position + 1001Tracklists position + Climax position) / 3

The lower the average, the higher the artist ranks in the comparison.

Some of the Most Significant Results

Artist DJ Mag 1001TL Climax
David Guetta 1 1 1
Armin van Buuren 7 2 11
Anyma 3 9 17
Alok 4 14 16
Vintage Culture 10 4 26
Afrojack 15 13 38
HUGEL 48 23 2
Skrillex 25 52 6
Tiësto 22 58 7
Fred again.. 16 89 4

David Guetta is the only artist in this group to hold the No. 1 position in all three rankings.

Armin van Buuren demonstrates remarkable consistency across the different methodologies, while Anyma, Alok and Vintage Culture achieve particularly competitive results.

HUGEL, Skrillex and Fred again.., on the other hand, highlight more substantial differences between popularity, production support and digital performance.

The comparison is not a new official ranking but an independent editorial analysis by YouBeat based on the positions published by the three platforms.

Three Rankings, Three Ways of Measuring Success

To understand the differences between the results, it is essential to examine the methodologies used by the three platforms.

Ranking Main criterion What it measures
DJ Mag Top 100 DJs Public voting Popularity and fan preferences
1001Tracklists Top 101 Producers Unique DJ Support Documented support for music productions
Climax 100 DJs Multi-parameter algorithm Digital performance and industry presence

According to Climax’s published methodology, its four main categories carry the following weights:

  • Streaming Power: 40%
  • DJ Support / Industry Credibility: 30%
  • Social Reach: 20%
  • Event & Fanbase Engagement: 10%

These criteria explain why an artist may perform exceptionally well in one ranking but achieve a considerably lower position in another.

The 1001Tracklists ranking, for example, does not directly reward follower counts or fan votes but rather the support that productions receive from other DJs.

The Martin Garrix Case: Second in DJ Mag, Thirteenth in Climax and Absent from 1001Tracklists

One of the most interesting cases of 2026 concerns Martin Garrix.

The Dutch producer retains second place in DJ Mag’s Top 100 DJs and reaches No. 13 in Climax, but does not appear among the 101 producers ranked by 1001Tracklists.

In 2025, Garrix finished No. 49 in the Top 101 Producers.

His absence demonstrates how an artist’s success cannot be interpreted through a single indicator.

Martin Garrix remains one of the world’s most popular DJs, but his position in rankings based on production support can differ considerably from his results in public-voted polls.

Other artists who appeared in the 2025 Top 101 Producers but are absent in 2026 include FISHER, Gabry Ponte, Steve Aoki, Sebastian Ingrosso, Steve Angello, Sammy Virji and Nicky Romero.

In these cases, too, absence does not necessarily indicate declining popularity or artistic relevance.

Italian Artists Across the Three Rankings

Comparing the three rankings also reveals interesting results for the Italian electronic music scene.

Anyma reaches the DJ Mag podium, establishing himself as one of the most internationally recognisable electronic music projects.

GENESI secures No. 6 in the Top 101 Producers, highlighting the support his productions receive from other DJs.

MEDUZA reach seventh place in 1001Tracklists and twenty-fourth in Climax.

Benny Benassi appears at No. 20 in the Top 101 Producers and No. 44 in Climax.

Giuseppe Ottaviani takes No. 28 in 1001Tracklists and No. 78 in DJ Mag, confirming his international presence in the trance scene.

Gabry Ponte, meanwhile, appears at No. 46 in the Climax 100 DJs despite being absent from the Top 101 Producers 2026.

These results reflect the diversity of the Italian electronic music scene, with artists achieving recognition across different musical styles and audience segments.

This analysis does not claim to determine the best DJ or producer overall. Instead, it identifies artists who achieve consistently strong results across three different methodologies.
