UNTOLD Festival 2025: 10 Years of Magic, Records, and a New Era in Cluj-Napoca
From August 7 to 11, 2025, the city of Cluj-Napoca, Romania transformed into a parallel universe of lights, sounds, and pure energy to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the UNTOLD Festival. Over 470,000 fans from 150 countries gathered for four unforgettable days and nights, confirming UNTOLD’s place among the top three music festivals in the world.
The 2025 edition, known as UNTOLD X, was more than just a music event. It was a masterclass in festival production, combining flawless organization, breathtaking stage design, and a truly global community of music lovers.
A Record-Breaking Edition
UNTOLD X set new records across the board: 200+ international artists performing on 8 stages and multiple music zones spread across 235,000 m², generating an economic impact of over €120 million for the local community. The festival also recorded a 25% increase in international attendance compared to 2024.
The Cluj Arena hosted the iconic MainStage, while Parcul Central Simion Bărnuțiu came alive with additional stages and countless activities. New additions included the Soul Circle, a space dedicated to emotional connection, and the UNTOLD Kids area, designed to spark creativity and musical passion in the youngest attendees.

Post Malone kicked off his European Big Ass Tour in front of over 60,000 fans, marking his first-ever show in Romania.

Armin van Buuren, a constant at UNTOLD since its first edition, delivered a breathtaking three-hour marathon set with visuals and stage design crafted exclusively for the 10th anniversary. During Let It Be For Love with Jai Ryu, Armin stepped into the crowd under a sea of phone lights, wearing a “United” T-shirt and waving the Romanian flag. He even paused the show for a surprise marriage proposal on stage.

Martin Garrix ignited the stadium with his “UNTOLD Special,” blending classics like Animals and High on Life with new anthems such as Sleepless Nights, amplified by lasers, pyrotechnics, and fireworks.

Alok brought his Keep Art Human project to Europe for the first time, blending high-energy beats with Urban Theory’s mesmerizing geometric choreography, featuring ribbons in Romania’s national colors.

The Emotional Avicii Tribute
One of the most touching moments of UNTOLD X came when Sandro Cavazza appeared as a surprise guest to honor his late friend Avicii, who performed at the festival’s debut in 2015. Cavazza sang Without You in what was only his second official “In Memoriam Avicii” performance. The Cluj Arena became a sea of lights as tens of thousands of fans sang along, creating a powerful tribute.

Meanwhile, the Daydreaming Stage offered dreamlike vibes with Röyksopp, Jan Blomqvist, Bob Moses, and Sebastien Léger.
A Festival for Everyone

In partnership with the Neuroatipic Foundation, organizers created a Sensory Box for children with neurodevelopmental disorders to enjoy MainStage shows in a safe, adapted environment.

Cancer survivors from Youth Cancer Europe met and shared moments with artists like Armin van Buuren, Alok, Martin Garrix, and INNA.
Other experiences included a flight simulator, a fashion village, tattoo shops, roaming performers, and dozens of food & beverage options.
The Next Chapter: UNTOLD One 2026
As UNTOLD X came to a close, it marked not just the end of a decade, but the start of a new era: UNTOLD One. Scheduled for August 6–9, 2026, it promises even bigger lineups, more stages, and next-level experiences.
In the meantime, fans can look forward to the second edition of UNTOLD Dubai, taking place November 6–9, 2025 at the spectacular Dubai Parks™ and Resorts.
